JAAMA, the fleet and asset management software company, has appointed Stuart Jones as its new IT manager.
Stuart Jones, who reports to Jaama IT director James Thresher, is responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the company’s IT infrastructure in addition to managing the implementation of various strategic framework projects.
Additionally, his responsibilities include maintaining Jaama’s ISO 9001 certification for its quality management systems and ISO 27001:2013 certification for its information security management.
Mr Jones has joined Jaama with a 17-year IT career behind him during which he has worked in the local government, banking and housing sectors. He decided to break into IT after discovering a passion for technology as a teacher, which followed four years in the British Army.
A physics graduate, Mr Jones completed a number of IT exams during his time teaching.
