Our 110 review model certainly dealt with the muddy, hilly farmlands of Dorset and was of much interest to the farming community - but did it stack up against the trusty old Landy workhorses that inhabit this corner of the world? Size was the main comment, the Defender 110 is a mighty beast, dwarfing the old models, but what about practicality?

Being different is not a bad thing as it grabs attention and as SUVs go, the Velar has a sleek, sporty look to it. Put it next to and Evoque and a Range Rover Sport and you will immediately spot the differences.
With an electric-only range of 34 miles and CO2 emissions of just 44g/km, the Evoque P300e benefits from low Benefit-in-Kind tax bands; from just 10% in 20/21 and 11% in 21/22 – for a 40% rate taxpayer that equates to a monthly car tax liability from around £150/ month. The P300e is already in strong demand from SME customers; fleet managers for its compelling financial package and end-users for its refined driving experience, luxurious cabin, hi-tech functions and cutting-edge exterior.
The Disco Sport now shares much of its underpinnings with the latest Range Rover Evoque. The change has been made to accommodate electricity. The latest line-up will offer mild hybrids as well as PHEVs. Rumour has it that there could be a full EV in the future.
The car remains composed even when pushed through twisty country roads. Pretty amazing given its 2-tonne weight and high body.
What’s really good is that the temptation to grow the latest generation Evoque in size has been resisted so it retains its compact dimensions without actually looking that small.
