EUROPCAR has appointed a new Fleet Director: Bob Maclachlan.
Bob, formerly Head of Fleet Procurement, will be responsible for Europcar’s full range of fleet activities, as well as developing the rental and mobility specialist’s UK fleet strategy.
As Fleet Director, Bob will be focusing on the purchase and disposal of Europcar’s UK fleet, as well as the vehicle fleet optimisation, ensuring customers have access to the right vehicle for every journey.
Bob Maclachlan commented: “I aim to ensure that Europcar continues to offer a wide choice of vehicles, as well as investing in hybrid and electric vehicles. I will be focusing on streamlining the end of rental process to provide a better customer experience.”
Gary Smith, Managing Director of Europcar UK Group, added:
“Bob has extensive expertise of the fleet market, with five years at Europcar and a successful career at Vauxhall before that. This background makes him the ideal person to take the lead for the fleet team. This appointment forms a key part of Europcar UK’s growth and development strategy, as we continue to deliver the best mobility solutions, balancing cost, choice and convenience at every stage.”
Bob Maclachlan succeeds Justin Shaw, who was Europcar Fleet Director for the last six years, who has now left the company.
