HYUNDAI has re-organised its fleet business, introducing a new Aftersales Charter and a dedicated support line.
With transparent pricing and processes, the Fleet Charter sets out a commitment to reduce cost of ownership, including hourly labour rates capped at £60 + VAT, a discount on MoT costs and a 10% discount on parts and accessories.
It also guarantees a service appointment within 48 hours and offers a Fleet Response service which sets a target of 60 minutes to diagnose an issue or provide alternative transport.
Hyundai has already been awarded Best SME Programme by Business Motoring for five consecutive years.
The Fleet Support line is a dedicated team located within Hyundai customer services, available either by email or telephone to all contract hire and leasing companies.
Director of Fleet Michael Stewart said that Hyundai is strengthening its business offering this year, but added that it would be looking for sustainable growth in the fleet sector rather than short cycle business.
Last year Hyundai sold 50,571 units in the fleet and business sector – 56% of its total volume in the UK.
All of its 163 dealers are now charged with selling into small businesses with sub-25 fleets.
There are also 15 large fleet centres established around the country, each having national fleet delivery capability and pre-delivery inspection capacity for over 1,000 vehicles.
Stewart said: “I believe Hyundai now has all the necessary ingredients to build on the progress that it has made in the fleet sector during recent years.
“Importantly, though, we’re not chasing volumes. Our strategy is closely aligned to sustainable growth in true fleet sales.”
He added that Hyundai’s eco vehicles are also starting to play significantly in fleet markets. The IONIQ achieved 6,360 fleet and business sales last year and the brand’s fleet-focused alternative fuel offerings will continue to grow.
Pricing for the NEXO fuel cell vehicle has just been announced at £65,995 including PICG. Later this year will see an updated IONIQ, a Tuscon 48V mild hybrid featuring a 1.6-litre CRDi engine, and another electrified model will join the line-up before the end of the year.
