Until seven years ago the AA was in a similar joint venture with HBOS, but in recent years, the AA’s financial services offering have been delivered by a number of different providers, resulting in a fragmented offering.
This venture recalibrates the AA’s position as a major provider of financial services products by bringing together all of the AA branded financial services products currently offered under one roof.
Des Crowley, chief executive at the Bank of Ireland UK, added;

“Our strategy is to selectively be the long term partner of choice with certain select leading and trusted brands in the UK whose vision and customer ethos we understand and share as they seek to expand and develop their presence in financial services.
