CD Auctions has launched a new online vehicle inspection system that will provide more specific and accurate vehicle descriptions on its online auction site.

The new online vehicle inspection system will also offer corporate vendors fully costed remarketing reports.

It has been introduced in response to growing demand and also has separate functionality for cars and commercial vehicles to allow more accurate reporting.

The group has seen sales volumes grow by over 80% in the past two years with 40% of those sales coming from new vendors.

Commercial director Graham Howes explained: “This has been a major upgrade to our current, industry-leading condition reporting, which remains in place. But it now offers better, more consistent and specific descriptions for both cars and commercial vehicles.

“It also allows us to meet demand from our growing number of large corporate clients who were asking for fully costed inspection reports on vehicles that are being sent to us for sale. We can now supply consistent and fully costed appraisals in a number of standard formats, directly from our back-office system.

“Comprehensive condition reports and high quality digital photographs of all stock have always been key factors in the success of CD Auction Group’s online sales. This new system allows us to extend that market-leading position still further.”

The system is in the final stages of trial and will be fully rolled out shortly but for now the system is homesite-based.
