Beal spearheaded the FedEx Express programmes to maximise energy efficiency and minimise carbon footprint through initiatives such as vehicle aerodynamics and vehicle light-weighting. He worked with all facets of vehicle technologies, including hybrid electric, all-electric, natural gas, hydrogen and biofuels, along with modified internal combustion technologies.

“Being part of XL Hybrids’ advisory board allows me to keep my finger on the pulse of the latest advancements in hybrid electric technology and other alternative fuel innovations, while helping an industry-leading company grow its business,” said Beal. “My focus at XL Hybrids will be on voice-of-the-customer programs and extending my industry relationships to the team.”

XL Hybrids says it wants to expand its advisory board to include recognised leaders with industry expertise in technology, finance and business development.
