Ford Mondeo: loved and loathed in equal measure by company car drivers

THE Ford Mondeo is the best company car ever driven.

That’s the result from a survey of 600 car drivers.

It was undertaken by leasing company Leasedrive Velo.

However, in the same breath, the survey also names the Mondeo the worst car driven, too!

“Without question the majority of respondents who singled out the Ford Mondeo as the worst company car were recalling earlier versions,” said Roddy Graham, commercial director, Leasedrive Velo Group.

“The latest model has received widespread acclaim and is also considered the best company car driven by our sample.”

Also rated highly was the BMW 3-Series; VW Golf; Audi A4; and VW Passat.

For extras, the survey found air conditioning; satellite navigation; and Bluetooth the most popular.

The five worst company cars ever driven were: the Ford Mondeo; the Vauxhall Vectra; the Vauxhall Astra; the Ford Focus; and the Renault Laguna (three percent).
