PROMOTION means Rob East is Mercedes-Benz new head of fleet with immediate effect, the company has announced.

In his previous role as the national fleet sales manager for Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, Rob led a team of strategic account managers and achieved record-breaking fleet sales in 2015.

Since joining the company in 2009 he has made a significant contribution to the business in a number of areas, including smart and the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy.

Commenting on Rob’s appointment, sales director David George said: “Fleet sales has been crucial in the continued growth of the Mercedes-Benz brand in the UK.  Rob brings a wide range of experience to the role and I am confident he will continue this great success.”

Rob’s fleet team includes national fleet operations manager Andy Medcraft.

The previous head of fleet was Sally Dennis who has moved over to become head of used cars and remarketing with Nick Andrews, who had been director of fleet, also moving over to direct the Mercedes-Benz drive in that sector.
