120 – Changing weather

Share

1 February 2009

We had the most astonishing change in weather conditions today.

I popped down to Queen Mary Sailing Club (QMSC) with my son Matt today. His Topper dinghy is berthed there. And we just needed to check it’s alright.

Matt has now outgrown this class of boat – so it’s up for sale if anyone is interested – and he’s ready to move into Lasers.

Anyway, we drove to QMSC in the Audi A4 to be greeted by a sunset that was astonishingly beautiful. The wind, though, was bitingly cold. Not warn enough for me to sail!

But having left QMSC – with this terrific sunset (pictured) left – we then went through an astonishing change of weather.

By the time we arrived back home there was snow, with drifts swirling about the road. What a contrast!
