206 – Land Rover beats a safari path for Lions

Share

20 May 2009

Land Rover is helping the British & Irish Lions rugby team in its South African Safari. With three significant tests against against the Springboks the Lions will need all the muscle they can muster.

The Land Rover Discovery 3 SUVs will assist in transporting the players, support staff and kit in comfort during the two month tour of South Africa.

“There is a natural synergy with the sport that reflects our brand’s ‘Go Beyond’ spirit. We wish the team the best of luck in South Africa and hope that they come back victorious,” commented Land Rover’s MD Philip Popham. I think we’d all agree with that.

Actually, by now, you’ve probably spotted that it’s just a ruse of mine to feature the lightning fast Harlequins winger Ugo Moyne who has made the squad. I’m sure his speed, and immense tackling ability, will come in handy against the World Cup champions. I’m looking forward to seeing Ugo and the Lions team in action.
