264 – Jenson Button brings F1 to triathlon

Share

4 August 2009

RATHER putting my efforts into the shade were those of
Brawn GP driver Jenson Button on Sunday.

Formula 1 World Championship leader Jenson Button completed the Mazda London Triathlon 2009 in just 02:07:02 two hours, seven minutes and two seconds – a personal best – on the Sunday.

Button was one of 14,000 competitors of all ages and abilities who took part in the Mazda London Triathlon 2009, held at the ExCeL Centre in London’s Docklands. Over 55,000 spectators watched the event

Button beat his MotoGP rival Bradley Smith who completed the 1500m swim, 40km bike and 10km run in 02:13:36 – still a remarkably quick time!
