Audi is launching a sleek new convertible: the Audi A5 Cabriolet.
The new Audi A5 Cabriolet goes on sale next year.
The Audi A5 Cabriolet will replace the existing A4 Cabriolet.
Priced from just under £30,000, the Audi A5 Cabriolet is a four-seater based on the extended wheelbase length of the A5 Coupe.
The new A5 Cabriolet features a heated glass rear window and lightweight soft-top roof – this saves weight compared to more complex metal-folding roofs.
The roof can be lowered in 15 seconds; and raised in 17 seconds.
There will be a choice of three engines at launch. A turbocharged 211PS 2.0-litre TFSI petrol; a 265PS 3.2-litre V6 FSI petrol; and a 3.0-litre V6 TDI with 240PS.
Both the petrol cars will be front-wheel drive. The V6 TDI model will have a four-wheel drive quattro system as standard.
The 2.0 TFSI models will feature a six speed manual; the 3.2 FSI a multitronic continuously variable auto transmission; and in the 3.0 TDI quattro a new seven speed S tronic twin-clutch gearbox, which can be used in either manual or auto modes.
