VOLKSWAGEN is aiming squarely at the popular Renault Kadjar crossover with a seven-seater version of its popular SUV – and the Tiguan Allspace made its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
Although it might be hard to spot at a glance, Volkswagen have stretched the Tiguan’s wheelbase by 109mm to get those extra seats in. Look closer and the difference between the five- and seven-seater versions of this crossover are more obvious with the raised bonnet line, longer rear doors and bigger headlights.
There might be more seats in the Allspace, but Volkswagen has also increased boot space to 760 litres – that’s an increase of 140 litres and with all the seats folded loadspace increases to a massive 1,920 litres.
Powered by the same diesel and petrol engines as the five-seater, the Tiguan Allspace is expected to go on sale in the summer
