Maintenance cover for up to five years
LARGE vans have the worst MOT failure rate. Over 40% fail the MOT. And expose van operators to potential fines of £20,000 under the Health and Safety Offences Act 2008.
Stephen Latham, CV operations manager Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) commented: “The MOT failure rate of 44.7% for class 7 commercials (3,000kg-3,500kgs) seems to indicate that owners of these vehicles do not spend on preventative maintenance.
“They prefer to use the MOT test, spending the minimum on repairs and maintenance to have a road legal commercial vehicle.”
To assist business van managers with operational maintenance, Vauxhall has a maintenance plan for vans up to five years old.
It is available for both new and used vans.
Service and maintenance plans for new or nearly new vans cover servicing and wear and tear items for three years or 60,000 miles. The cost is £39.99 per month for large vans. Smaller vans are covered for a lessser amount: £32.99 per month.
