What’s not?
- The six-speed manual of our test car felt loose and at times notchy on downshifts spoiling, some of the driving fun.
- The TTS doesn’t feel different enough in our opinion to justify the extra money over the standard 2.0-litre TFSI petrol.
- The latest TTS looks fantastic, but if the wheels and badges were taken off, we could be driving any other TT in the range – some sportier additions would be worthwhile adding we reckon.
- At £38,790, the TTS might be a high-quality, stylish and fast sports car, but it’s not cheap.
Verdict on the Audi TT Roadster 2.0-litre TDI Ultra Sport
If you’re lucky enough to be in the fortunate position of choosing a new fast coupe, the TTS’s combination of sharp looks, high-quality, futuristic interior, confident handling and all that performance, are very attractive.
Put your business head on and the TTS still makes sense – sort of. With the 164g/km CO2 figure, the monthly 27% BIK figure and 39.8 mpg economy, which we think are still impressive when considering the performance available.
