AUDI has announced a mid-life update for its compact Audi Q3 SUV. Prices will start at £25,340, and the revised models will arrive in the UK in spring next year.
External changes for the Audi Q3 include a new 3D-effect grille, revised bumpers and new-look alloy wheels.
The full body-colour paint finish, previously standard for Audi Q3 S line versions and above is now also applied to SE models.
Revised headlights now feature xenon bulbs and LED daytime running lights as standard on Audi Q3 SE models, while S line and S line cars get all-weather LED headlights.
An interesting new addition to the Audi Q3’s engine range is the 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine with Cylinder-on-Demand technology which appeared first in the A1 and A3 ranges. With a power output of 150PS and the choice of manual or S tronic twin-clutch automatic transmissions it’s good for 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds and a combined 50.4mpg (manual).
Most of the rest of the Audi Q3’s engine line-up has a familiar look, although tweaks have improved economy and emissions across the range.
The sportiest Audi Q3, the RS Q3 model gets a decent 30 PS power boost to 340 PS – full details and pricing of the revised RS Q3 will be released closer to launch early next year.
