Audi wins Security Award from What Car?

Audi has won the What Car? Security Award for the most secure cars. It is the first time the magazine has made the award in conjunction with Thatcham.

Audi wins What Car? Security Award
Audi: first time winners of What Car? security award

AUDI has won the What Car? Security Award for the most secure cars.

It is the first time the magazine has made the award.

The Security Award was run in partnership with Thatcham.

The magazine said that new technology had made stealing cars more difficult.

But theft from cars was still a massive problem: in 2006/07 there were 1.7m recorded thefts said What Car?.

Thatcham’s Vehicle Security Manager Mike Briggs, said: “Audi is without doubt the best manufacturer for vehicle security over the last 12 months. Nevertheless, the NVSA results show how committed the most progressive manufacturers are to further improving vehicle security and offering better security solutions for their customers.”
