HOT on the heels of its concept small hatchback shown earlier this year, Suzuki will unveil the all new Baleno full production model at the 66th IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
New technologies include the first use of Suzuki’s 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET direct injection turbocharged petrol engine which promises fuel savings and better performance.
The new engine is based on the Suzuki’s 1.0-litre K-series engine that also powers the Alto and the WagonR.
If it stays true to the iK-2 Concept shown in Geneva this year, the new Baleno will be a direct competitor to the Volkswagen Polo and the Ford Fiesta.
A completely new interior layout expects to reduce weight while making the best use of space. The new Baleno will be launched in the UK early summer 2016.
