BMW’S SME Company Car Programme carries on the company’s winning streak at the 2015 Business Car Manager SME Company Car of the Year Awards

BMW’s Business Partnership programme provides the best support for the SME sector, but it came up against some tough competition from the likes of Vauxhall and Volvo – but it was BMW’s continued commitment to the SME sectors through major website innovations that have kept it at the top.

To improve the buying experience for SMEs, BMW has updated the Business Partnership Programme website and sponsored the recent SME conference this year.

The updated Business Partnership Programme website is industry leading, now featuring improved optimaisation for mobile devices, the ability to shortlist and compare offers, and a page dedicated to the new BMW i range. The website also allows users to shortlist maintained and non-maintained rates, to ensure the most appropriate options are available.

In particular, the more user-friendly offers section, allows customers to filter results and even suggests alternative models that could be suitable for them. There’s also a FleetHub section, allowing users to access a range of resources to help them make the most informed decisions about their company car fleet. Also included in the FleetHub section is a Tax Guide for 2014, the latest BMW Group Corporate News, a Tax Calculator, BiK Tax Banding tools and a news section with relevant articles, to ensure a clearer and more robust customer journey.

The BMW Group were also headline sponsors for the recent SME conference, where they displayed several BMW and MINI models, giving delegates the chance to have a closer look, book test-drives and request further information for their fleets.

On top of this, the BMW Group also has a Corporate Charter which retailers have to deliver to fleet customers, which has 10 key pledges.

Firstly, all vehicles booked in for service or maintenance work that don’t require a replacement are guaranteed an appointment within three working days. For service or maintenance appointments, complimentary collection and delivery within a 15-mile radius is provided. Booking requests sent to dealers will be responded to within 20 minutes, downtime chases responded to within 15 minutes and invoices completed within five working days.

One of the pledges also includes the three-year/unlimited mileage warranty package, which provides peace-of-mind cover for any manufacturing defect, including bulbs.

Following any accident, when a vehicle is recovered by BMW Emergency Service, a status update will be given within two hours of its arrival; and repairs will be started within 48 hours.

Finally, if a vehicle fails its first MOT, the cost of replacement parts and labour will be covered under the MOT Protect service.

“As demonstrated by winning so many categories in these awards, BMW really means business for the SME market. Through BPP and Genius – they de-mystify product for the SME,” said Martin Brown, managing director of Fleet Alliance, the winner of the Small Fleet Leasing Company of the Year.

The SME Company Car of the Year Awards 2015 is sponsored by Concept Vehicle Leasing and Fleet Alliance.
