IT’s time company car operating businesses joined the move to improve efficiency and reduce their impact on the environment, says OAL, backing its green call by adding a brace of BMW i3s.
The food processing specialist has shown off its new additions to its car fleet, two fully electric BMW i3s. The vehicles are a part of OAL’s energy efficiency scheme and will join the 24,500 other electric cars in the UK.
The cars will join OAL’s fleet of efficient and safe cars that echo the company’s range of engineering solutions.
The BMW i3 has been applauded for its part in reducing levels of emissions in cities and is CO2 classed at 0g/km and also a quarter of the interior plastics used are recycled or renewable raw materials.
OAL’s CEO Harry Norman explained: “Company cars continue to be one of largest sources of carbon and we are proud to be a part of a movement set on improving this. Adding these vehicles to our fleet means that we are that step closer to having done as much as we practically can to reduce the risk to our people and the wider community.”
