 Skoda UK fleet sales

  • 24% fleet sales growth year-on-year
  • Sales growth nearly twice market rate
  • Record 4,264 retail contract hire sales
  • Skoda now has 3.1% of UK fleet market

A BUMPER year for Skoda business sales with an increase of nearly double the rate of the wider fleet market is reported by Skoda UK.

In new figures for the year ending December 2015 from the SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders), Skoda’s true fleet sales have grown 24% year-on-year.

This is nearly double the rate of growth seen in the entire true fleet sector, which grew 13% year-on-year. In this bumper year for Skoda it also signed more corporate customer agreements than ever before, and achieved a record 4,264 retail contract hire sales (up 215% year-on-year).

This huge growth means Skoda now commands 3.1% of the total fleet market, with more fleet managers and small business owners than ever recognising the compelling offer its models present.

In 2015 the brand saw many landmark achievements – including the launch of the all-new Skoda Superb, with its class-leading residual values, and the new Skoda Fabia.

Henry Williams, head of fleet for Skoda UK, said: “There is no doubt that 2015 was a great year for Skoda fleet. Award-winning models coupled with a compelling financial offering make Skoda an obvious choice for fleet managers, small businesses and user choosers – and our record sales are testament to that.”
