For many fleets, this will slow or stop plans to move away from petrol and diesel vehicles.
David Savage said: “We do welcome the fact that pence-per-mile will not apply to commercial vehicles, as the burden would be disproportionate for these fleets.”
The installation cost £1.5m and involved drilling 100 metres under the M1 to provide power for the EV charge points.
Paul Hollick warned that the scheme, set to start in 2028, could cause hesitation from fleets and private EV buyers.
RAW Charging was recognised as the best destination charging network, while Connected Kerb was recognised for its network of on-street charge points.
Reeves delayed changes to Employee Car Ownership Schemes (ECOS), which would have seen ECOS cars reclassified as company cars.
The Electric Car Scheme also commended the funding of the Electric Car Grant.
