Nick's covering lots of miles in the Seat Exeo. Happily it's managing 47mpg, and keeping him comfortable

Our business cars: SEAT Exeo ST 2.0 TDI 143ps estate

Driving for a living or driving to make a living – which one fits the average SME owner?

For the last month I’ve been constantly on the roadand I’m beginning to wonder which is me!

Still, it’s not been difficult.

The miles reel past comfortably and easily at a steady 47mpg average – well into the 50s on long runs. Which is good when you run your own business, because keeping an eye on expenditure is critical in this economic climate. Well, any climate.

Comfort levels are good – just as well given my recent mileage – and customers like it. I can understand why, too.

The SEAT is slightly understated, but also perceived as a good, sensible quality vehicle. This fits with how I want to be seen – safe, providing good quality as well as value.

After work, it's good for play - bags of room for cricket stuff

If it’s good for my business life, it also works well in my personal life, too. With two young children, the estate boot helps with all their kit, whether it’s going to a cricket match, or off to the coast for a cycle ride.

So whether it’s driving to make a living – or driving to have a life – as a business car the Exeo fills both criteria really well.

In its own good-value understated way.
