Daily rental company Europcar, and low fares airline easyJet, have announced a special CO2 initiative.

The special programme has been designed to increase customer awareness about the benefits of offsetting carbon emissions.

Fly-drive customers get carbon footprint offset

It’s available to all vehicle rental bookings through easyJet.com from now until 08 January. Those vehicle rental bookings will have their carbon emissions offset by the two partner companies.

The carbon offset programme is run by ClimateCare. UK-based ClimateCare has over 50 projects across the developing world.

These fund low carbon technologies with social and environmental benefits.

Both Europcar and easyJet already have carbon calculators and offset programmes available on their respective web sites for reservations.

Europcar was recently named the World’s Leading Green Transport Solution Company at the World Travel Awards.
