The facelifted Lexus RX looks much improved – especially in the head-turning F-Sport trim level we drove – but it’s still a flawed car in a very competitive segment. The petrol-electric powertrain should be punchy but the sluggish CVT gearbox stops this car from ever feeling fast, while the sports suspension that comes on this flagship model hampers the one thing that Lexus is very good at – ride comfort.

But there is no other car in this class that offers the kind of business car savings offered by the Lexus RX450h. The CO2 emissions are so much lower than any of its rivals that the Benefit in Kind company car tax savings are spectacular and if you don’t believe us you can set up a business car comparison for yourself.

For that reason we’d recommend you go for one of the cheaper Lexus RX450h models because it’ll be more comfortable and better value, but still comes with those fantastic figures that’ll guarantee you a great business car deal.
