GLASGOW based small fleet leasing company First Vehicle Leasing has cemented its fundraising initiative for Maggie’s Centre at Glasgow’s Gartnavel Hospital.
Former Celtic FC legend Dixie Deans handed over a cheque for £2,250 to the cancer support charity.
First Vehicle Leasing donates £10 for every vehicle leased from its ‘special offers’ vehicles on its web site to the charity.
Dixie Deans, the former Celtic and Scotland centre forward, who now works with First Vehicle Leasing, said:
“As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, we are very happy to be supporting Maggie’s fundraising efforts.
“Given that everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer, including members of our own staff, we felt driven to establish this initiative and hope that it will help Maggie’s in the provision of the practical support people need.”
Centre Head of Maggie’s Glasgow Gillian Hailstones said: “We’re delighted with the generosity shown by First Vehicle Leasing through this initiative, which will make a meaningful contribution towards supporting people with cancer.”
