DVLA Personalised Registrations is fielding  the ideal registration for the locals to bid on during its first auction in the Capital for over a decade.

FU11 HAM, possibly the closest a motorist will get to actually having Fulham on their vehicle, is being auctioned during the Agency’s special three-day event being staged at City Hall from Thursday, 7 June when over 1,700 marks will go under the hammer.

While SW6 residents may well be interested in bidding, the likelihood is passionate fans of Fulham FC will compete for their perfect plate.

Two of the top three positions in the DVLA’s league table of football club-related registrations are held by London clubs. WE57 HAM and AR53 NAL were auctioned in 2007 and 2004 for £57,000 and £36,000 respectively. V1 LLA holds the third spot, selling for £35,000 in November 2000.

FU11 HAM is among 1,750 registrations collated for the sale, a proportion of which have direct links to this summer’s Olympic Games as DVLA Personalised Registrations has been appointed as one of the official licensees of London 2012.

With registrations like 2012 OG, GO11 DEN, WON 601D, DVLA Personalised Registrations has gone to great lengths to ensure motorists, too, can show their support of our Olympians and what will surely be the greatest sporting spectacle in the world.

Jody Davies, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Events Manager, said, “While our Olympic-themed registrations will undoubtedly steal the limelight during our auction next month, we can’t forget the sale will also include a huge array of popular name-related registrations. FU11 HAM is a prime example of just that.”

Having a personal plate on a vehicle in a small fleet can be a useful advertising platform but it will not increase the value of the vehicle itself. For the best deals on wheels look at our company car comparisons before the whistle blows.
