Ford has expanded its ECOnetic range.
A 2.0-litre 115PS model joins the existing 1.8-litre Ford Mondeo ECOnetic.
Confusingly, the new model has a bigger engine, but less power with better fuel economy. But it costs slightly more.
The new Ford Mondo ECOnetic 2.0-litre has emissions of just 139g/km, and fuel economy of 54.3mpg, placing it in the 18% company car tax band.
The latest fuel-efficient Mondeo will be available as a five-door hatch and as an estate with standard anti-skid ESP.
It features low-rolling resistance tyres; optimum gearchange indicator; aerodynamic-enhancing sports suspension; air deflectors; and a rear spoiler.
Mondeo ECOnetic creature comforts include dual-zone automatic temperature control; Bluetooth connectivity with voice control; cruise control; seven airbags; and Quickclear heated front windscreen.
The new Mondeo ECOnetic 2.0-litre has a list price of £20,145.
