Top of the range performance Mondeo fitted with sparkling 220PS petrol engine. Lots of chrome detailing plus push-button starter – provides great sense of occasion when firing up the warbling five-cylinder power unit.

The Mondeo continues to challenge the premium sector class – think BMW 325i SE if you can get past the blue oval badge – especially with this sports performance model with its good spec and terrific engine. Of course, the diesel Mondeo makes more business sense. But you might not have so much fun at the wheel.
