Business Car Insurance

Business car insurance is typically more expensive than your standard cover. Insurers think that a motorist driving for business as well as pleasure is a higher risk. That’s not necessarily because they think business drivers are bad drivers, but rather because they are likely to cover many more miles -sometimes in heavy traffic and on roads they are not used to.

There are different classes of business car insurance cover, so be sure to look at the small print and find the right deal for you. If you drive to multiple sites or offices, you’ll probably need class 1 business use. Class 2 business use is suitable for the policyholder and a named driver to use the car between different sites. While class 3 business use is for anyone who travels extensively in the car for work.

Shop Around

As with any other kind of insurance, it pays to shop around. You can find yourself saving significant amounts of money if you start off by comparing quotes from a range of different insurers, such as, Autoline Insurance. If you go to an online car insurance comparison service you can find a range of premiums offered for business car insurance. There is also a lot that you can do to keep your costs down, from choosing your vehicle with care to keeping it safe and secure to limit the chances of it being stolen.

Having an approved alarm and immobiliser fitted will help bring the cost down, and will keep the vehicle safe if you regularly find yourself driving for work purposes into unknown places.

Keeping it in a locked garage overnight will also help cut the burden.

Careful drivers are rewarded too, so you should try to build up a no-claims discount by avoiding claiming unless the damage is serious. Then you could be in line for a saving as high as 75% on your premiums.

By following some simple steps, you can keep yourself on the move for your work while saving good money on business car insurance
