WHEN it comes to reliability, Honda reliably fills the number one slot on most occasions. And there’s no disappointing this time. It’s the Honda Civic that tops the charts. The Honda Jazz was third best model for reliability; the Honda Accord the fourth.
The research was conducted among the contract hire and leasing sector, and asked each company to rate the vehicles they have on their fleet.
In total, the reliability survey covered 840,000 cars and 183,000 light commercial vehicles (see Ford Transit named most reliable van).
Overall, BMW was named as the most reliable car manufacturer in a tie for top spot with…Honda.
Stephen Briers, editor of industry paper Fleet News that conducted the survey, commented: “This survey is based on feedback from those who really know about the reliability of vehicles – people who run hundreds of thousands of vehicles over many hundreds of thousands of miles.”
