Vauxhall brand manager Steve Bryant gave us his thoughts at the UK launch of the Vauxhall Viva

“Our fleet team here work very closely with the fleets out there and the corporates in particular. So yeah, the message is already getting out there, as our team is already talking to their existing customers to see where Viva might fit.

“We think Viva is a pretty good value-for-money package anyway. Talking to some of our fleet team, their experience with customers is why we’ve created the air-con model with the SE trim for example. Because once it becomes a line model it becomes more attractive to fleet customers or SMEs. So we’ve already got the feedback and adapted to it.

“I would imagine there will be a high take up for the air-conditioning model, but again time will tell if the air-conditioning model outsells the one without.

“The Ecoflex version is available from launch, I would expect that it will be the most popular choice for SME and fleet buyers. My assumption is that with the benefits of the CO2 and BIK reductions, we would expect the Ecoflex models to be more popular with fleet customers.

“We’ve definitely had interest from SME and corporate buyers in Viva already.”
