  • New i20 Active and New Santa Fe enhance crossover and SUV range;
  • New 1.0-litre T-GDI across i20 range;
  • Turbo petrol 1.0-litre three cylinder in 100PS and 120PS;
  • Deliveries expected early 2016.

TWO new crossovers to target the company car driver will be unveiled on the Hyundai stand of next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

An all new i20 Active compact SUV and an updated New Santa Fe will make their world debuts with an advanced range of new active safety, comfort and convenience features while a new 1.0-litre T-GDI engine is introduced across the i20 engine range.

The i20 Active crossover features a distinctive design and increased versatility for customers with busy urban lifestyles.

Revised suspension settings increase the car’s ground clearance by 20 mm compared to the five-door i20, with the seating position also raised to give greater visibility. Rugged features on the i20 Active include skid plates on the front and rear and cladding on the wheel arches to set it apart in the corporate car park.

A new three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine in 100PS and 120PS forms will be available with two power outputs across all i20 body types from the end of 2015.

The New Santa Fe premieres with design enhancements and an advanced range of new active safety, comfort and convenience features to emphasise its status as the brand’s flagship SUV.

A host of new active safety and comfort features are being introduced on the car, including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear-Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and High Beam Assist all adding to further enhance driver convenience and safety.
Cars expected in European showrooms from early 2016.
