PEUGEOT is launching a new specced up special edition of its 208 hatch – the Intuitive.

All the extra kit is available in a car that squeezes below 100g/km CO2 if fitted with the 1.4 HDI or 1.6 e-HDI diesel engines (both 99g/km). There’s also a 1.2-litre petrol that achieves a still creditable 104 g/km.

Intuitive models are based on the top-of-the-range Allure trim level but get additional equipment in the form of Park Assist, sixteen-inch alloys, sat nav, a panoramic Cielo glass roof, directional front fog lights and dual-zone air con.

That’s on top of the existing standard equipment such as ABS, Emergency Brake Assist, six airbags, remote control central locking, a trip computer and cruise control with speed limiter.

Intuitive 208s also qualify for Peugeot’s “Just Add Fuel” package which covers all motoring costs apart from fuel. A single monthly payment covers insurance, VED, servicing, roadside assistance and finance.

Prices for the 208 Inuitive start at £14,245 for a three-door 1.2-litre petrol and reach £16,595 for a five-door 1.6 e-HDI.
