Lex Autolease Growth

  • Net fleet growth of over 6500 vehicles in first half of 2015
  • 8000 new customers in first half of 2015
  • Operating lease assets increased by 3% since December 2014 to £3.2 billion

THE UK’s largest leasing company is continuing its upward curve: Lex Autolease maintained positive growth in the first half of 2015, reporting a fleet growth of 6500 vehicles; this represents a 2% growth in its total fleet size to over 300,000 vehicles and is a year-on-year rise of 6%.

Over 37,500 cars and 10,500 commercial vehicles were delivered during the first half of 2015 by the company, with 8000 new customers added during this time; a record number of new small and medium sized business customers have also been added to its fleet.

In the first six months of 2015, operating lease assets also increased by 3% to £3.2 billion from £3.1 billion.

Lex Autolease unveiled its 5 year growth plan back in 2013 – this has seen the business continue to invest and grow its business by focusing on delivering strong products and services to its customers. It is also reacting well to increased business confidence as companies are seeking to update fleets.

Managing Director of Lex Autolease, Tim Porter, said;

“We are working hard to ensure we meet our ambitious targets to grow our fleet size as part of our five year plan and have made good progress in the first half of 2015. Our customers continue to upgrade their fleet and have shown strong interest in our new products and services.

“Our focus on expanding into the small and medium sized business market and helping these businesses see the benefit in leasing rather than buying vehicles outright, is also reaping dividends. We will continue to invest heavily in our business to ensure that we continue to meet evolving business needs. “
