Nexus Vehicle Rental is helping small businesses get back in a like-for-like car following an accident.

Nexus, a vehicle rental broker, has developed a complete outsource solution for the motor claims industry. This includes supplying a vehicle to anyone requiring a replacement car after an accident.

“We sit right in the middle of the vehicle rental process,” said Neil McCrossan, chief executive officer, Nexus.

“That means we have strong working relationships with most of the major rental companies, as well as a myriad of smaller regional and specialist vehicle rental suppliers.

“We can therefore give insurers the confidence to be able to maintain customer service standards and supply without the headache of managing a multitude of suppliers.”

McCrossan said the vehicle supply process was handled by the innovative Nexus rental management tool called IRIS.

IRIS is a single paperless systems platform, providing great efficiency and cost control. By using IRIS, Nexus has created a dedicated solution. This handles every aspect of replacement vehicle activity for motor insurers, enabling them to make and amend bookings as well as providing real time management information.

“Our network of specialist vehicle rental providers means we can tackle all the ‘non-standard’ requirements that insurers often face when needing to provide like-for-like replacement vehicles. These include everything from large commercial trucks to taxis, prestige vehicles, dual control cars and even ice cream vans!” continued McCrossan.

“We guarantee supply to all clients. So there will never be a case where we can’t source the replacement vehicle required. This is, of course, crucial in the highly competitive motor insurance marketplace.”
