Business Car Manager verdict
There’s no doubting the MG3 will have more success than the MG6 did.
It’s a great value supermini that – with its customisation options – offers buyers the MINI experience at a fraction of the cost.
But, it’s seriously let down by its engine which feels really outdated. It emits so much CO2 that when you consider it as a company car, its cheap price-tag is almost cancelled out by the high company car tax band.
There is supposed to be a range of small capacity turbo engines on the way, as well as a diesel. The MG3 needs these to become a really competitive company car proposition.
