New Fiat 500 prices announced

Fiat's retro 500 supermini goes on sale in January 2008.</p><p> Prices for the Fiat 500 start at just L7900.</p><p> A top-spec version will cost L10,700.</p><p> This positions the Fiat 500 well below its key retro rival, the MINI.</p><p> Pricing for the MINI spans L11,625 for a One to over L16,000 for a Cooper S hatchback model.</p><p> The Fiat 500 will be available with three engine options:</p><p> <UL><LI>1.2-litre petrol 69bhp <LI>1.4-litre petrol 100 bhp <LI>1.3-litre MultiJet turbodiesel 75bhp </UL> </p><p> There is also the choice of three trim levels: Pop; Sport; and Lounge. </p><p> Pop standard equipment includes power steering and ABS brakes. </p><p> Upgrades to a Sport or Lounge cost L1400.
