THE Golf range has just become more practical.

Joining the Mk VI Golf in the showrooms is a new, more stylish estate model.

The range includes the £16,380 entry-level S 1.2-litre TSI with 105PS and rises to £22,580 for the range-topping Sportline 2.0-litre TDI 140PS with DSG semi-auto gearbox.

You will also be able to identify the most economical models in the Golf Estate range – and in VW’s range as a whole – by the new designation of BlueMotion Technology.

For example, the VW Golf Estate BlueMotion Technology 105PS 1.6-litre TDI has an economy figure of 67.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 109g/km. Which means the car qualifies for the lowest diesel company car tax band of 13%. And, if purchased, 100% first year writing down allowances to help ease cash flow.

The cost to upgrade to a BlueMotion Technology Golf – featuring low rolling resistnace tyres, stop-start and brake regeneration – is £410.

Across the range, a total of five engines will be offered: two petrol and three diesel. And there will S, SE and Sportline model designations.
