The hot-rod MINI Cooper S has a four-cylinder 2.0-litre engine, enabling this fastest of the new MINIs to cover the 0-62mph sprint in 6.8 seconds, while CO2 emissions are as low as 133g/km.

The six-speed manual versions of the new MINI are complemented by new six-speed auto with fuel saving stop-start function.

The new MINI can be ordered today (18 November 2013) and will be available in March 2014.

The new MINI is being built in the UK at the BMW Plant Oxford facility.

MINI prices start from £16,450  – a 2.61% increase over the outgoing model, but specification is more comprehensive
