Audi’s hatchback gets a performance boost.

The A3 hatchback and A3 Sportback will receive a more powerful 1.4-litre turbo engine.

The 1.4-litre Turbo FSI engine replaces the 1.6-litre unit in the A3 range.

Although the engine is smaller, it delivers more performance. The 1.4 TFSI

has more power (+ 10PS), more torque (+ 45Nm), and slightly improved fuel economy (up to 43.5mpg from 42.8mpg).

The new A3 1.4 TFSI will be available in standard, SE and S line specification. It goes on sale in October.
