A recent survey found that 98% of SME directors were juggling company car fleet management alongside a host of other responsibilities

The hub in Yorkshire also feeds into 25 regional dealer-run business centres and should allow SME directors with more pressing issues to focus on running their businesses, rather than their fleet of cars.

Selwyn Cooper, head of business sales at Volvo, said: “As we’ve come through the recession, businesses are keeping a tighter rein on their finances, and fleet managers (or SME directors) are feeling the squeeze.

“Looking after a company’s vehicles and drivers is no longer a solus task, and we’ve seen a massive shift towards the fleet responsibility being handled by HR managers, accountants and procurement teams.”

While the principles may be the same, the wants and needs of SMEs are vastly different to those of large corporations and bigger businesses.

The Volvo Car Business Centre understands this and supports customers of all sizes to help get their jobs done quickly and efficiently – both in terms of time and, of course, financially.

What’s more, Volvo’s range of brand-new Drive-E engines means company car tax can be kept to a minimum, without sacrificing performance or style.

The new Volvo V40 D4 diesel boasts 190bhp, matched with incredibly low CO2 emissions of just 99g/km. That means a BIK company car tax rate of only 15%, with Volvo expecting demand to rocket in the second half of 2014.
