Van operators are using daily rental to meet season Christmas goods delivery demand, reports TLS.
Online shopping figures are showing a 15% increase in sales compared to 2008.
The Interactive Media in Retail Group Index reported that shoppers are expected to spend a total of £13.16 billion online in the UK during Quarter 4.
On the expected peak day – Monday, 08 December – £320 million should be spent online in 24 hours.
To meet this seasonal demand, business delivery companies are turning to van rental to meet the additional capacity.
