WHOOA! Take at look at these.
Here we have the sportiest versions yet of the Porsche Boxster and Porsche Cayman models.
And Porsche is showing them for the first time at the Beijing Motor Show on 20 April.
They are on sale here in the UK – but you won’t get your mitts on one until May.
Not far away then but until then it’s these pictures. Unless you’re going to Beijing.
But the wait will be worth it. Starting with the Boxster, the GTS means – well, as you would expect – it means a Boxster that’s quicker. There’s more beef from the flat six boxster engine: 335PS, which is 16PS up on the S model’s 319PS. Torque is also up to 370Nm. The vital figures are:
- 0-62mph 5.0s (4.7s with launch control on PDK models)
- Max speed 174mph
- Economy 31.4mpg
Options include a new, optional sports chassis configuration that lowers the ride height by 20 mm. So you can use it as your business car during the week, and your race day toy at the weekend. Should you feel the inclination…
Cost for the Porsche Boxster GTS is from £53,569 and should you run it through your company as a company car, the company car tax would be £617 a month for a 40% tax payer.
