FOR those few company car drivers unfussed by BIK tax ratings and fuel economy but dedicated to getting a year round tan, Rolls-Royce has launched its new drophead Dawn.

The full four-seater convertible is aimed squarely at the younger money and was ‘unveiled’ on internet live streaming presented by Top Gear’s new signing, Jodie Kidd.

The Goodwood manufacturer’s CEO, Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes, described the new car as the “sexiest” convertible Rolls-Royce has made to date. He said: “Dawn is a beautiful new motor car that offers the most uncompromised open-top motoring experience in the world. It will be the most social of super-luxury drophead motor cars for those who wish to bathe in the sunlight of the world’s most exclusive social hotspots. Quite simply, it is the sexiest Rolls-Royce ever built.”

hardware and software changes have improved processing speeds for faster route calculations

A vast array of technology is housed within the Dawn’s handsome lines including a significantly updated Multimedia Interface and Navigation system is displayed beautifully on a new 10.25” high-definition screen, while hardware and software changes have improved processing speeds for faster route calculations.

An Automatic Cruise Control system helps to reduce constant small precision adjustments of distance and speed, reducing continuous creep, stop and start. The driver can now move along in city traffic in a confident and relaxed manner relying on the system to monitor conditions and react to changes in traffic patterns – for example when entering a new road or slip road.
