WHERE Nick Andrews moves, Sally Dennis is unlikely to be far behind.
When Nick moved from Audi to SEAT, not long after Sally followed. And following Nick’s appointment to Mercedes-Benz as head of fleet in August 2011, it wasn’t long before the rumour mill was putting the dynamic duo back together again at Mercedes-Benz.
And so it has proved.
Part of Nick’s plan at Mercedes is to fundamentally rethink the Mercedes approach to fleet and busines sales, with a target on growth: cue appointment of Sally Dennis as national fleet sales manager.
According to Mercedes, Sally will be managing the relationship with fleets of over 300 vehicles for key blue chip brands, as well as strengthening the relationship between Mercedes-Benz and the contract hire and leasing industry.
The new role comes at the start of an expansive phase for Mercedes-Benz, with the launch of the new generation of compact cars: the A- and B-Class, which complete a diverse and exceptional model range from two-seater smart to the all-new M-Class, which launches later this year.
“I am passionate about delivering the best experience for our customers, not least because I spent over eight years in the retail market so I understand the high service levels clients rightly expect,” ommented Sally on her appointment.
“This is an exciting time for Mercedes-Benz, with the best-ever-UK market share result, fantastic new vehicles and a proactive approach to fleet and company cars.”
Sally certainly has much experience – 18 yeaers in the motor industry – to bring to her new role at Mercedes.
Most recently, Sally was national fleet sales manager at SEAT and prior to this, Sally was the UK key account manager at the Audi fleet sales department where she was responsible for the UK top 30 customers’ company car management working strategically with the retailer network and VW Group Fleet International.
