THE latest take on the new SEAT Leon is this sharp looking 3-door coupe.
Model for model it’s £300 cheaper than the five-door hatch and in spite of the sporty look still manages rock-bottom company car tax and 74mpg in 1.6 diesel form.
That could make it a bit of a bargain for value-conscious company car buyers because the SC is being presented not as a mere three-door version of the standard Leon but as a stylish Sport Coupe – and it certainly has the looks to back that up.

Leon SC prices start at £15,370, making it the cheapest of all the new models from Audi, Seat, Skoda and VW that use the Volkswagen group’s new MQB architecture.
Engine and trim choices reflect those already seen on the five-door Leon hatch, but the SC has sports-shaped front seats as standard.
SEAT’s Head of Design Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos said: “We have given the three-door Leon SC a highly distinctive character – just deleting two doors would not have been enough for us. That is why we opted for the shorter wheelbase – although it is only 35 millimetres, the visual effect is very powerful. The result is a big difference in the expression of dynamics. The SEAT design language has been perfected in the new Leon.”
Company car buyers are likely to be drawn to the 1.6 diesel models, which achieve CO2 emissions of 99g/km and a combined fuel consumption of 74.3mpg but the 1.2 and 1.4 TSI petrol models will probably be worth a look too.
UK order books open on April 15, and the first cars will be delivered in July. A third Leon model, the ST estate, will arrive later in the year.
