SMEs can now access full Mazda business car line up

WHETHER your business needs an economical supermini or stylish SUV, Mazda reckons it can now offer small businesses a complete portfolio of company cars.

Key models, such as the MX-5 roadster and Mazda6 hatchback, have always been the hallmark of the brand. But, says Mazda’s fleet and remarketing director Peter Allibon, there is more the brand can offer SMEs with the arrival of the seven-seat Mazda5 MPV diesel.

“We can now provide business car managers with a comprehensive five-model range. It will be from January when a low emission diesel version the seven-seat Mazda5 goes on sale,” said Mr Allibon.

The range, continued Mr Allibon, now included the Mazda2 supermini; Mazda3 compact hatchback; Mazda5 MPV; Mazda6 family hatchback and estate; CX-7 SUV; and evergreen MX-5 roadster.

“It is a huge step forward from where Mazda was just four years ago when only the Mazda6 could be described as meeting the demands of company car drivers,” added Mr Allibon.

The expanded Mazda5 range now includes:

  • 1.8 TS (L17,695);
  • 2.0 TS2 (L18,895);
  • 2.0 Sport (L20,195);
  • 1.6D TS2 (L20,195); and
  • 1.6D Sport (L21,495).

The Mazda5 is not the only model range recently updated my Mazda. The Mazda2 supermini has just been upgraded with more fuel efficient engines, while the same 1.6 diesel engine introduced to the Mazda5 is destined for the Mazda3 shortly, delivering 64.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 117g/km (which qualifies for 13% company car tax).

Mr Allibon finished by saying: “Business car decision-makers and company car drivers want stylish cars that are reliable and cost-effective to operate.

“Mazda is delivering all of those credentials across its model range. These cars provide SMEs with low cost of ownership figures while for company car drivers there is the attraction of wallet-friendly company car tax bills at the wheel of a highly-specified business car.”
