Renault Megane Coupe: prices from £14,745

Prices start at £14,745 for Renault’s new three-door Megane Coupe.

The Renault Megane Coupe will go head-to-head with rivals such as the Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch.

The Megane Coupe will launch in three levels of trim: Expression, Dynamique and Privilege. The price range is £14,745 to £19,195.

Three-door Renault Megane Coupes feature a sports chassis. The suspension is firmer and the ride 12mm lower ride compared to the Megane Hatch. However, there are still five seats in the Megane Coupe.

Standard equipment is generous: alloy wheels, air conditioning, anti-skid ESP, six airbags, heated door mirrors and front electric windows.

There will be six engines at launch: three petrol; three diesel. For business car drivers the 1.5 diesel with a 13% company car tax rating will be appealing.

However, the Megane Coupe’s starting price will inevitably be the starting point. A range of options are available to customise the car.

These include the styling kit of rear spoiler (£375) and body kit (£985) to give the Megane Coupe its real sporting look.
